AER Energy Resources, Inc. Appoints David Brown To Board Of Directors

SMYRNA, Ga., June 3 /PRNewswire/ -- AER Energy Resources, Inc. (Nasdaq: AERN) today announced that it has appointed David Brown to its Board of Directors, increasing the numberof board members to eight. Mr. Brown, 39 years old, is currently aVice President of Keystone,Inc. and a limited partner of FW AER Partners, L.P., a significant shareholder in AER Energy. Hecurrently serves on theBoard of Directors of Bell & Howell Holdings Co. Mr. Brown also serves as a Principal of Arbor Investors, L.L.C.,General Partner of FEP GenPar, L.P. and is a member of the Board ofAdvisors of FEP Capital Holdings, L.P.

As a Vice President of Keystone,Inc.,Mr. Brown is a senior officer of Robert M. Bass' principal investment company. "Mr. Brown has an extensive financial background, and we expect tobenefit greatly from his expertise," said David Dorheim,President and CEO of AER Energy.

Prior to joining Keystone, Mr. Brown worked at Salomon Brothers Inc. from 1985 to 1993where he was a Vice President in the Corporate Finance Department. While at SalomonBrothers Inc., Mr. Brown served on the Board of Directors of Redman Industries, Inc. Prior to Salomon Brothers Inc., Mr. Brown also worked at Philadelphia National Bank where he served as a Commercial Loan Officer.

Mr. Brown holds a B.A. degree from Bowdoin College and an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration.

AER Energy Resources, Inc. is engaged in the development and commercialization of high energy density, rechargeable zinc-air batteries that provide long, continuous run-time forportable electronic products. The Company is currently marketing batteries to provide portable computer users a full working day operation on a single charge.
