Doesn't a tie vote go to the House to settle?

The House chooses the President and the Senate chooses the Vice President. For example, if the Republicans lose the House and keep the Senate you could end up with Gore as President and Cheney as Vice President.<g>

BTW, there are several polls out today. I will be updating the EC predictions later in the day. Remember the Zogby tracking poll is only polling 200 people per day in each of the states. This is why its numbers are jumping around so much. They average it with the preceding 2 days to try to limit the jumping. When you see a poll jumping 6 points in one day base on a poll of 200 additional surveys one must be willing to take the poll for what it is worth.
