Interesting to read about the reverse split. Yes I'll wait until after it happens. I'm cautious right now as there's some speculation about the Japanese ready to pull their money out of U.S. bonds to fix their economy, which will cause ripples round the world..
I have a 1995 report for China Resources (Holdings) Ltd, with 32 main subsidiaries, including one called China Resources Development. This is a $4 billion company with its roots in the communist government. It handled trade volume of HK$45billion last year. They are in the business of setting up small trade enterprises anywhere they can turn a profit. They are not open about their financial dealings and disclose very little to outsiders. The concept of banking and "going public" is still a novelty to Mainland Chinese operations, and financiers such as Credit Suisse were finding it almost impossible to get paid back in satisfactory terms. The transition of Hong Kong to Beijing rule will be fascinating to watch. China Resources uses western-trained MBAs to run their business units so I hope this is a legitimate attempt of the parent China Resources to experiment with the U.S. capital system on a small scale before taking the larger enterprises public in the US. It would be worthwhile to ask them if they are connected, but they might not tell you.
I haven't looked at CIND but will do so, Khris.
