Sexism and racism are about immutable personal characteristics. It's totally unacceptable to diminish people for characteristics they were born with.

Religion is about ideas. We have to be able to challenge ideas. I would agree that we don't need to be rude about challenging people's closely held ideas, but ideas must continue to be fair game. Claiming "blasphemy" is about making certain ideas unchallengeable. It's a power play. It's rather like the ad hominem logic fallacy, a tactic for when you don't have a logical argument. No idea should be sacrosanct.
