Lindy I resent that slur against my new rulers: <Fresh from their absurd botching of the case against Slobodan Milosevic, the World Kangaroo Court>
The implication that there's something wrong with a Kangaroo Court is unacceptable, racist, denigrating, inappropriate, insensitive and unsustainable.
Also, that was a highly successful case. He was kept on trial until he died. That is the optimum for legal process as it ensures maximum revenue from the proceedings, with many lawyers making a LOT of money from the process. It was for years that he was kept in gaol on trial. From the legal point of view, it was a great success. But he probably died before all the money was used up, so it could have been improved.
Didn't the USA refuse to sign up to the international criminal court? But maybe the "World Court" is something else again.
They are right though that the USA death sentences are ridiculous. The USA does daft things like electrocution and poisoning people to kill them. They should be used as organ donors and the surgery done BEFORE the oxygen level in their blood drops. The heart and lungs are not good for transplantation if they are not carefully looked after.
One criminal can provide parts for many people. 2 x kidney recipients could live. 1 x heart/lung transplant. A couple of liver recipients [half each]. Maybe a pancreas could be used with good tissue matching which DNA should increasingly be able to identify. Corneas, bones, whole hands, even faces can be transplanted. Maybe even parts of the brain might be useful, such as the serotonin production system to treat Parkinson's disease. Colons, oesophagus, stomach, ear lobes, all sorts.
The parts could be sold at auction to the highest bidders and the proceeds go to compensation of the victims and to fund legal proceedings, prisons, surgery, rewards for clues leading to the criminals etc. It should even be highly profitable.
One good quality cadaver should be worth something like $10 million.
