Sorry, I don't use netscape but I found a link on one of these pages that said:

To search for an entry that you don't see listed on your Address Book:

Click Address Book on any tab toolbar to open your Address Book.
Type the name of the entry you are searching for in the Look up text box near the top of the page.
Click Go.

I also found a newsgroup message that said this missing search function was a bug in the new version.
