I don't remember specifically, but I'm sure millions of people sold their MSFT when IBM announced the release of OS/2.

No one has ever said there wouldn't be competition. The beauty of the company, as far as I'm concerned, is the number of broadband markets BRCM is in. IBM and INTC both going into networking. Okay. Not news that I want to hear, but not the end of the world. BRCM's strong positions in STB's, cable modems, satellite, etc. let me sleep at night.

Shrinking margins? True, all things considered equal. Companies will pay up for superior product. IF BRCM can continue to demonstrate such superiority, the damage to margins will be mitigated.

If, if, if. I'm sure there will be up's and down's. And I'll continue to trade 'em. LT though, BRCM will be a winner.

BTW, FredE, thanks much for all of your TA on this board. You oughtta run a hedge fund....:-)
