JENIN TERRORISTS USE CHILDREN
The IDF spokesman continues to spend his time refuting baseless Palestinian claims. Contrary to PA allegations of a "massacre of civilians" in Jenin, the IDF says that only some 50 armed and/or wanted terrorists were killed in the battles. The IDF entered Jenin about two weeks ago in order to wipe out the town's terrorist infrastructure. In one incident yesterday, IDF soldiers saw a young boy carrying a suspicious bag. When the boy saw that he had been spotted, he threw down the bag and fled. The soldiers opened it and found inside three pipe bombs with a total of 4.5 kilograms of explosives. IDF sappers were called in to destroy the devices. The IDF spokesman expressed "deep shock at the barbaric use of children as carriers of explosives."

One of the terrorists who gave himself up in Jenin was Thabet Mardawi. His interrogation disclosed that he was responsible for the murder of no less than 20 Israelis, in attacks in Hadera, the Binyamina train station, the Afula bus station, bus attacks on the Wadi Ara highway, and shooting attacks in the Jordan Valley. Mardawi used nine suicide bombers for these murders.
