He's gonna get a lot more questions about tort reform.

Oh, he knows how to "slip and slide" on those questions. Crocodile tears for all the money he has got for his clients from the evil Insurance companies.

Speaking of Insurance, the biggest overcharge for it in the world is Homeowners Insurance. Group Fire and Liability is illegal in all the States. Allowing that to go to group would save Billions.

At the turn of the 20th Century, Many Fire Departments insured the buildings they covered. If you had a fire, the Fire Department paid off.

Scottsdale has a privately run Fire Department that the Unions hate and try to put out of business. They build a lot of their own equipment and are run for a profit.

Rural/Metro Fire Department’s roots in Maricopa County go back more than 50 years. They go back to a time when Osborn Road and Central Avenue weren’t even in the Phoenix city limits. They go back to a time when World War II vets were pouring into the Valley, causing an explosion of growth not seen since. They go back to a time when neighbors took care of each other.

Lou Witzeman was such a neighbor. He decided he needed to do something when he discovered his neighborhood didn’t have fire protection. He pooled together some money, bought a fire truck, and asked his neighbors to subscribe to his fledgling company.

Today, the more than 300 firefighters of Rural/Metro provide fire and emergency services to eight Valley communities and most of the unincorporated areas in Maricopa County.Company wide, Rural/Metro has about 10,000 employees, provides emergency services to more than 400 communities and generates more than $500 million in annual revenue.
