Joe: My acct exec @Merrill is on me like hot cakes to buy Compac...I went through several Compac about a year ago....quality problem....same with the IBM Aptiva...maybe Price/Cosco is dropping them from the top rack...I don't know but certainly have a bad taste in my mouth. Have had only one problem with my Dell....and it was solved by them in less than 24hrs....new monitor...no cost to me even though I bought my system one yr ago. I see that DELL and 3com are getting tighter...DSL will be offered by Dell as an option. 3com appears to be "backfilling"in the 40-42 range...if correct...could see 47-50 after earnings announcement! Placed 2k @39 this a.m...yep..."people in hell want Ice water"! Looks like we've left the 30's! Hk
