Well yea.. I know its a lot of work for nothing and hardly any more gain but it is entertaining at the least. I dont see anything wrong with it, but I am new to all this compared to you and oj and some others so maybe I am doing something wrong. I prefer to track companies I am familiar with and instead of spreading into everything which really was a pain and had losses on everything.

Re: WCOM..and easy come easy go

The best possible deal for smartmoney is a price of 40-42.. I paid 3 1/2 for the DEC 37 1/2.. I figure we will see that by end of the month.
Worst case is the stock will go to 34 and it will be worth like 1 so I loose 2 1/2 on the deal..
My previous position was 100 JAN 30's where I shorted the oct 32 1/2 calls when the stock hit 36, I covered half when it went to 35 and then shorted it again with the oct 37 1/2 when it went to 36 then covered the other half of oct 32 1/2 when it went to 35 and sold the position when it went to 35. The other half I would have sold today at 10+ or so by etrade woudnt let me enter the order so by the time 2 hours later I entered it I got 9 for it. At which point I bought the dec 37 1/2's.. And still ahead while my original investment is in cash.

If it works out I have doubled my money but the loss is, well I dont make any money. And its a lot easier to keep track of a few investments in companies you know about than in companies you dont care about or dont know much about. Most of the time I buy 50, If I am sure I buy 100, except for things like in the money calls on high priced stock amat/txn etc where its like 10 points for the call. when the symc lawsuit came out I lost 75k on mcaf, I woudnt have minded if it was for real and they actually gained something out of it by doing it. I do do a lot of research into where and how I invest, but it takes others time to find out what I did which is why I jump in too early and wonder whats going on. Others on here help as well.. Also I only do this as a hobby, :) but its just as easy to make a killing on just a few companies you like than investing in a lot..
