Wade Cook cut his teeth ripping people off in the real estate world. After those scams had pretty much run their course, he turned his attention to Wall St. There are some fascinating articles written about the guy -- Oct. 1996 Smart Money has one for example. He is probably one of the most clever con men of the century. But while he may be totally devoid of ethics, he is certainly not stupid. His stock splitting scheme is brilliant. He's been in trouble with the S.E.C. before but he probably has better lawyers now.
