My friend Joel is leaving for Shanghai tonight. He has a Ph.D. in finance from UCLA and is currently working for Capital One (the credit card company). He will be in Shanghai for 2 weeks on vacation. He has promised me to investigate the impact of Southeast Asia turmoil on the local economy. I also ask him to check out VCD sales in China. He has an internet access in Shanghai, so he will write to me very soon. I will post them on the thread or ask him to post direct. Shelly
