Another possibility is that with his block of shares at stake and things going badly Rhodes finally capitulates and resigns allowing Babish to be called back. This may have been Babish's hope and motivation for what he did (and he does not seem to have taken another job though Koch was able to get one fairly quickly). And it has seemed strange that he could walk away from the culmination of his life's work so easily and even, in effect, to place himself in opposition to his own creation. So his hope may still be to win out. Even so, it is obviously a risky course which has already hurt. The Board, in bringing Babish back, would also have to, at least implicitly, admit their previous mistake and we already have to wonder about their ability to do this and their judgment since it is hard to imagine how Rhodes was able to lobby them back over to his side. What story did he conjure up for them about where he was going to lead prln? Whatever it was must be ashes in the mouth by now. Of course, if this
might be in the cards, it would have to happen very soon. The one advantage is the stock is so low that it wouldn't be that hard for the co. to essentially restore Babish's block of shares to get him back and if he still has hopes for bringing his creation to fruition he would be willing to accept even at this price. Still, it is possible too many bridges have already been burned for this to happen.
