Eric Schmidt is an extremely talented individual. Scott McNeally over at SUNW would not have let him go unless there was a lot more a stake than a personell change. Eric gets the chance to learn how to be CEO material. Eric gets an extremely talented pool of engineers. They all get to play in the internet space. Eric has become a very capable CEO. His team is functional at plain vanilla business stuff. (That lets them keep their jobs.) You don't think the best of the breed isn't up 24/7 trying to become the next (insert the name of your choice)? I have no clue with what surfaces. I can predict it will be great. We will all need it.
