That might be true, but I can't imagine why the Street would give Ellison's comments any credibility. I haven't seen the full context of his comments, but none of the reports I've read mentioned any strategies described by Ellison to achieve his prediction.

Ellison made some predictions a few years ago about the network computer that haven't come close to being true. If we use that evidence of his predictive credibility, we would ignore his comments about comparing Oracle to SAP in five years.
