How long have I been using metric? Canada started switching in 1970, and even well before that as a sciencehead, I started using them in everyday life when I could. If I was feeling smartass, I would give the temperature in degrees Kelvin (used by scientists).

The conversion is pretty easy.

100 mph is approximately 160 kph, i.e. multiply or divide by 1.6
10mm = 1 cm is approximately .4 in, i.e. multiply or divide by 2.6

Temperatures are little harder. I'll let you folks look up the formula, but quick shortcuts include -40F - -40C, and 0C - 32F.

Either way, it rained a lot and was really windy...
