Rick:
Your calculations confirm mine. No info on bioavailability. My reason for assuming that patients would need 10 mg/kg body mass was relatively small change in CD4 at end of third week on 5 mg/kg. They upped dosage to 10 mg/kg and got much better results and greater % of patients responding. Realize that company had to get as much done as possible during test but if AndroVir is cumulative, perhaps CD4 would have continued to increase on 5mg/kg until an equilibrium point is reached. Perhaps the sequence should be reversed with 10mg/kg for first 3 wks and then 5mg/kg thereafter. In any case the only data that I have shows 10 mg/kg gave best results. In retrospect it would have been good to drop back to 5mg/kg for 3to 4 weeks at the end to determine effect, rather than stopping completely.
In any case I see no data to support a 210mg capsule tid.
