That's 600M subscribers T is giving away to Allen who is a direct competitor. I can't figure

According to the press release, it's actually 690,000 subscribes in ranching country for the most part. e.g.Minnesota, Michigan was the only state covered with a major city in it. I could easily see how this region of the USA just might not be the highest priority for T at this time. ... especially when there's 3 orders of magnitude fewer subscribers than reported when you asked the question. ;-)
