Excellent reply to Mr. Vidrine. Another NY Times article relevant to the issue appeared on August 22, 1997. The story reported on genetic research on familial Mediterranean fever by two teams of scientists and the implications on ancestral relationships of Ashkenazic and Sephardic Jews, Arabs, Armenians, and Anatolian Turks.
