True, funk. Network tools such as traceroute and ping are readily available to all. Don't trust your ISP for access to the trading servers and such until and unless you know you have a good link. Note that the ISP can have a perfectly good connection for most cases, but suck for getting to MBT (or whoever), depending on the vagaries of backbone configuration.
