you didn't read all my post -- I said insurance is fine for catastrophe -- if I get the flu -- it isn't a catastrophe -- why shouldn't I pay the whole cost.

Likewise, if someone can afford insurance and they have a heart problem -- if the insurer will pay -- fine -- but if someone cannot pay -- why should it be considered a right??

Generally I am for feeding people who are hungry -- but what about people who just refuse to work?? What minimum level of subsistence do they DESERVE??

Fact of the matter is -- a truly free market would make more folks better off -- the problem is no price signal for the end-user, IMO.
