Peter, I indicated that ARIA was not really targetting non-polypeptide hormone signally. Their expertise and focus is on signal transduction used by polypeptide hormones. Although most Biotechs have the capacity to target many areas, they are not focused on all areas.

In contrast to ARIA, LGND has several non-polypeptide hormone programs which are developed in-house as well as through collaborations. Their first alliance was with PFE and it targets anti-estrogens that interact the extrogen receptors. Their second alliance is with GLX and it targets PPARs as well as HNF-4, two more non-polypeptide hormone receptors implicated in fat metabolism and insulin resistance, as well as Mature Onset Diabetes of the Young (MODY). Their third alliance is with AGN which is a huge retinoid program that targets RXRs and RARs. They also have an inflammation program with ABT that targets the glucocorticoid receptor. Their women's health program with AHP targets tissue specific estrogen and progesterone analogs.
LGND HAS THE CAPACITY to target any of the non-polypeptide hormone recptor and they have many in house programs which target many that were not mentioned above.

I was trying to compare targeted PROGRAMs, not CAPACITY, which could be almost anything by any biotech that had competent molecular biologists.
