(AP) -- Penn National Gaming Inc. on Wednesday said Pennsylvania gambling regulators granted the casino operator a conditional category one slot machine license for its planned Hollywood Casino and racetrack. Construction of the Hollywood Casino and racetrack began last month in Grantville, Pa. The project's $310 million budget includes a $50 million license fee and $260 million for construction and the purchase of an initial 2,000 gaming devices. The planned five-story facility will have capacity for 3,000 slot machines, three restaurants and other amenities. Penn said it expects to open its Hollywood Casino in 2008.
