Indeed I am. It is a routine rolling out of a covered call. The calls are now deeper in the money and I didn't have enough cash to cover a separate buying transaction.

I was told by the Fidelity rep that internally their systems check each leg of the spread order as a separate order for applicability.

For a net credit limit order (Fidelity doesn't have an "at market" price type like Etrade does because they are the purists :) this is sillyness itself! But I am stuck with them, and have raised this as a to-do.

To their credit, they have at least offered me the online commission schedule while accepting an order over telephone.

regards
