I think the comparison to Clarify, Vantive & Siebel is partly valid. It is competetive and bundling multiple apps for a suite sale is happening which will hurt the single product companies like BBSW and EGAN.

However, the world is more receptive to not getting disintermediated and bringing the power of the network into the biz model. You have all these strategy professionals at the consulting firms rehashing the Dell/Schwab/Cisco stories and teaching best practices. Combine that with the available 'y2k-earmarked dollars' that have come off lock-up and you set the table for numbers like BVSN's 45% MARCH quarterly sequential growth...
