Since 'electricity' sits at the very bottom of the technology value chain, it makes incredible sense that a future gorilla is among our mist.

The value chain looks like this:

Application software
Systems software
Hardware
Semiconductors
Electricity

At the very least, a tornado is beginning to emerge in this lower layer because the telecom infrastructure is undergoing a once-in-a-lifetime upgrade innovation due to order of magnitude increases in frequencies at the edge of network and in the local loop. Completely new power requirements are mandated and the entire value chain must deal with it.

A most interesting point about this power niche is that barriers to entry are very high. Furthermore, talent is scarce, assuring that margins on these new proprietary products will be high-- and continue to go higher. Increasing gross margins are ususally found the footprints of an emerging gorilla.
