From E*Trade to e.Schwab

I too have been "living with [E*Trade's] problems way too long..." and just opened a small test account with e.Schwab. Almost every trade I undertook with E*T engendered some problem, and always to my detriment: terrible market order fills, partial options fills, slow or nonexistent confirmations, and a true Death Star customer service department. (Hell, it took them a bloody month - and a torrent of e-mail - just to correct the social security number in my account!)

I've dealt with several brokers, and E*T is the worst I've ever encountered. Here's hoping e.Schwab can do a better job... though the breakdown of their system on a high-volume day doesn't bode well.

Where is the discounter who can give consistently good service?
