Netbox and Cheap PC address two similar but very different markets.

Dear David,

Thanks for your question. Many PC makers are figuring to capitalize on the "Net" craze by coming out with these low priced PC's. At first glance you might think this would satisfy this market niche. However they are really missing the point. Despite all the entertainment value we may derive from our PC's it is basically a utility device. You are probably right now at a desk somewhere in the corner of your home or office sitting in front of your PC (by yourself) reading this posting. The Netbox changes that scenario moving the Internet from a Desk used by a single person to the family room of the world to be enjoyed and interacted with on an entertainment level with a single person a group of people or an entire family. Imagine this scenario: You come home and flop down on the couch for a little relaxation. You turn on your TV to catch a little news and you hear a breif story and one of your kids say "Hey Dad, can you explain that to me?" You answer "sure son, lets take a look on the internet and see if we can find something about that. You press the internet button on your remote, grab your infared keyboard that came with the package,go to you search engine, and surf to an appropriate site. All without leaving the couch. The point is the Netbox brings the internet to the entire family on both the entertainment, educational and social level. This is something the PC can not do. This technology is already available and being sold in Germany by the largest computer maker in Germany, Peacock; based around the MSU chipset technology. It is designed to integrate domestic electronic products such as CD, stereo, and video games with the power of a PC. When you add the optional infared remote TV cameras ($90.00), you also have a home security system seamlessly integrated with the unit.

I should probably put a disclaimer in at this point. "I am not in any way affilliated with MSU Corporation and do not advise anyone to purchase any securities."

Thats the difference between a cheap PC and the Netbox. All I can say is I can hardly wait to get one of these units when they are introduced in the US and I own 3 PC's (none of which were cheap).
