Here is an old article showing overwhelming support for the project. I think you are right, it is just a matter of finalizing the route... the Forest Service is due to make that decision as soon as tomorrow. I thought I read somewhere else that once this detail is finalized the final permits will be issued and work can begin. Can anyone confirm that?
