I very much appreciate the input on wiring the new house. I have used that info to scour the web for more. These are some sites to turn to:

residentialcabling.com has all the parts and pieces, including a bundled cable with 2 CAT5 and 2 RG-6 inside.

lucent.com Lucent will supply all your needs, of course

hometoys.com home automation and networking magazine

ibm.com like Lucent, they have the goods too. Also have a nifty locator for finding people to do the work in your area.

So it looks like, at a minimum, 2 CAT5 and 2 RG-6 to each room, with a central board to connect all the inputs and direct this in a star fashion to each room.
Add some conduit/string "just in case" some new technology requires a new cable of some sort, and it's a wrap! More comments welcome.
