Rick, I checked a bunch of their rumors. Of those I checked, 75% were in the dumps after the rumor. Here's a lulu: April 22, 1998 NBTY INC (NBTY) $23 1/4 - strong rumors circulating that NBTY will report a great quarter. Eps to be reported tomorrow On April 22, it closed at 23 7/16. On April 23rd, it opened at 23 5/8 and closed at 20. It then dropped to the 14's, rose to 23 again, then dropped like a rock. Today it's at 6 1/4. So much for a good rumor.
