Your argument is flawed, there were no threats to any NATO nations by the internal strife in Yugoslavia. NATO through airstrikes has NOW put nearby NATO nations in greater danger; Hungary, Italy and Greece. All three of the mentioned nations would gladly veto NATO action but fear being kicked out of NATO and having the U.S. slap economic sanctions on them.

Let's not mention the compromising positions now of the 300,000 hungarians, and 100,000 Albanians in Belgrade and Novi Sad.
