If you ignore the "seasonal adjustments" home sales are very weak. Layoffs are continuing. Corporate cap ex isn't going to rebound soon with balance sheets weak and many companies no longer to access the commercial paper market. post Oct. '87, I expected something similar That wasn't a build up of a bubble. Ever since LTCM, Greenie has been responding to every crisis by printing money. It's coming back to haunt us. Fleck's Market Rap (now on RealMoney) talks extensively about this. You have to admit, although he missed the big run up in '99, he's been right. Time will tell.
