We speculated about the utility of InfiniCor fiber in this role here, about three or four weeks ago, recall? This is a very interesting twist. I also recall discussing a while back (elsewhere, and if I can find the thread I'll post) the possibility that MDUs might very well be the best proving ground for ftt-shack because of the greater controls, shorter distances and fewer hostile conditions in the splice/connectorization points. It was a thread discussion where actual T3s were being pulled to residential apartments here in Manhattan's Silicon Alley district (Tribeca area), and we were comparing these to VDSL and native fiber in a ftth schema. Very interesting, indeed. No mention of Corning's new MetroCOR fiber, I note.
