New Caladonia and nickel supplies: I read a comprehensive article on the situation over there and it is pretty important. NC produces soemthing like 12.5% of the worlds nickel, and there is tremendous unrest casued by indigenous people not liking having France as a protectorate.

Nickel up .77 on the NC news I think.
