I used to have the low GDI resource problem. It's easy to run out of these resources when using RealTick, Quicken and a couple of others simultaneously.

I have solved the problem, too. RAM above 64Mb won't help. What helps beyond that is losing Win95/98 in favor of NT. I've been told reliably that Win95/98 puts limits on GDI Resources, System Resources and User Resources. These limits are within the operating system.

A shift to NT - which is not very difficult - will solve your GDI Resource problem, I'm sure.

To verify this further, I suggest asking the experts on the Dream Machine thread.
