Printer Cable - bot a new Brother 1440 Laser Printer yesterday, finally replacing my 7 y/o Okidata 4W. The salesperson at Staples suggested that i buy a USB cable and use that to connect the printer. I had some trouble installing the driver and called Brother support. The techie on the phone did not feel there was an advantage to USB, and, in fact, were some issues between USB connections for printers and XP. I am running Dell 4300 with XP home. I hooked it up with the same parallel cable i was using on the Okidata, and it works fine. Anyone have any thoughts, comments on USB vs parellel cable for printer hook-ups, especially XP. tia. larry
