Very conservative strategy is to write calls against low priced stock if you believe stock will be stable over term of the leap. Bought esst yesterday a 7 3/16 and sold year 2000 calls at 10 strike for 2 9/16. Rise back to 10 over next two years will return 10/4.625=2.16
My km and uis writes from 2 years ago were excercized this January with approximately 2/1 returns.
