Emile, you are quite right that the "criteria" for the historical reliability of the Gospels you cite are "standard," and used widely by Biblical scholars, especially, but not exclusively, of the more conservative variety.
So why don't you cite your sources? It seems to me that you may have copied much of your material, almost word for word, from Craig Blomberg's The Historical Reliability of the Gospels, especially since your "series" bears the identical title. Dr. Blomberg is a respected scholar, and by citing him you might strengthen your case. As it is, by delivering your pronouncements ex cathedra, as it were, you make it appears as if you had thought of all this yourself, and hence you weaken your argument, at least with people who have learned to distrust everything you say. |
