as American citizens we better start looking real closely at what American leaders are doing because they are screwing us up big time!

I would point out the president doesn't write the budget, it's the House and Senate - both parties are at fault here.

You can deny it all you want but the president draws up the budget and presents to Congress for their review. He also has veto power that can be used to override a bill when the pork becomes unreasonable. To date, Mr. Bush has not seen a pork bill that he can not love. What does that tell you?

Secondly, look closely at the list of pork by state.........the vast preponderance of the pork is in red states. What does that tell you?

Bush is at fault for not taking a stand against this out of control spending refusing to use power.

Yes, his veto power.

Illinois has more pork than California by $1 billion.

Yes, and Alaska, home to GOP Sen. Stevens and to one of the smallest state populations, has half the pork of CA which is the largest state with 300 times the population of Alaska. What does that tell you?

No matter how you cut it; the pork is out of control and Bush and the GOP are responsible. The GOP has had control of the entire gov't for 5 years and this is the result. We, the people, are getting screwed.......big time!
