I wouldn't base my selection of beverage based on that article - it's an awful long way from what they found (which is that exposing cow cells to resveratrol for four days reduces the level of reactive oxidative species when the cells are exposed to high glucose) to any assumption about what red wine might do for diabetes.

But by all means go ahead and conduct an ex vitro wine experiment to celebrate the postponement of the end-of-the-world for yet another day. :)
