Zonder.. I know of no instance that the US sold "weapons systems" to Iraq. And nothing in those links denotes any examples either..

What they denote is the potential "dual-use" technology and medical research samples were provided, WITHIN the parameters of the law. None of those items is listed on the US Munitions list, thus they can not be classified as "weapons systems".

Any conversion of those items provided from commercial applications to military use is a violation of the export contracts. And that violation would be on the part of the Iraqis, not the US.
