Oh, and before people jump all over me about how we should treat fire fighters better and how amazing they are, try and wrap your heads around the fact that prisons in Cali were raided and many of the people fighting the fires in the Palisades and Eaton fires were prisoners being paid $0.70/hour. 70-cents an hour! Nobody said squat about that back in January.

The California legislature passed legislation recently to bump that up to the federal minimum wage of $7.25/hour retroactively.
