Bob,

When a person buys a call option which rises in value to $20 in the money.
When wanting to close out his position must he exercise that option and then
sell the stock? Or can he just sell the option & collect his profits? If he can,
will the brokerage charge a fee for doing this? Will the brokerage have to exercise
the option and sell the stock or do they just sell the option?

I appreciate your help with this
Ed
