I was told the $3,000 device takes 20 minutes of training. The website when it is up will fully explains it operation. My understanding is that in addition to traditional meters, there are tolerance lights that come on when the noise of the precise thing being tested does not meet spec. You can tune it to selective frequencies (for wheel bearings or compression leaks or valve noise, etc). The tolerance light then gives the engineer or mechanic or worker a quick idea of "pass/fail", but more precise measurements are possible if desired. Call Miles and report back, ok? I am probably off base somewhat but maybe this gives you an idea.
