Frodo, I stand corrected (or, more correctly, reminded). When I was musing about what they meant by the "support component", I'd temporarily forgotten about the european operations. (Sorry, euro people. I count some good friends amoung you and the omission is unforgiveable!)

You are correct. Mitel also bought the brand names. Actually, the more I think about it, the more I admire what Mitel did. They managed to buy the company without buying the company. Nice trick! They got the products, the technology, and the name all without acquiring the debt and the present management.

Also, I agree that it is likely that Oct 31 is the last day for a freestanding company named Gandalf Technologies.

For the Tom V fans in this group, there was an article in the Ottawa Citizen a couple of days ago that made reference to him. I'll rummage around and see if I can find it.
