Sounds to me that it could have a significant impact on MVIS's relationship with the program.

Do not kid yourself. Microvision's VRD helmet is still a risky and expensive development effort.

I read this as a huge increase in the uncertainty of MVIS being incorporated into the successful design of the Commanche. However, it also could be read as saying that much of the risk has decreased with the initial delivery of the prototype VRD helmet and that costs of the system development is less than anticipated.
