If you mean that even long-term stockholders are becoming discontented, then yes I agree it is different. I notice on this board a lot more skepticism and a lot less tolerance than in the past even from "old faithfuls".

Exactly. The ingredients are there, but the final results depends on consistent execution. If TRMB wants us to believe that continuing high reinvestment in R&D is the right strategy (which I do believe) they also need to show us that they have the skills to generate profits from that continuing reinvestment down the road. Right now that means good execution without surprises 2 weeks before the end of the quarter every other quarter.
