I expect symbolism and rhetoric from the O! camp but nothing of any substance.

Like an old war horse, Volcker will be trotted out for a public viewing, the blasts against the bankers will be duly made, but don't for a moment expect anything worthwhile to take place.

The Wall Street influence became paramount when Rubin became Clinton's Secretary of the Treasury and continued to grow during the Bush and Obama administrations. It is unreasonable to think that the election of a single Senator will undo all that influence. It is simply too pervasive.
